"I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing... that this was all started by a mouse." - Walt Disney
Create an Account
The first step that we recommend to every person that we talk to is setting up a My Disney Experience account. This account will give you access to many areas of the Disney World site and be a crucial part of the planning and vacationing process.
Other than the required fields, make sure that you have all of your family's information in the account as well. This just makes it easier down the line when you begin the booking process.
When do you want to go
Book early.. More than 6 months is going to give you the benefit of multiple advanced reservation windows. Crowd levels at the parks do vary greatly throughout the year. Things such as school schedules and special events at the parks can dramatically alter plans on your vacation. There are many websites that have crowd calendars that take many of these factors into consideration. You may also want to think about the weather. We are talking Florida, so you may need to plan around the heat of the summer or the hurricanes in the fall. Lastly, don't worry about missing that deal. We can monitor the deals and let you know if one will fit your vacation.
Where are you going to stay
There are many options inside and outside of the resort property that have their pros and cons. While price may understandably be your first thought, don't let that be the only deciding factor. Many of the benefits of staying on property, from extended advance reservation windows to free transportation options, will quickly outweigh the difference in price. Let us help you to decide a place to stay that will both fit your budget and help you to make the most our of your vacation.
What is there to do
Most people don't realize that Walt Disney World is made up of 6 incredible parks (4 theme parks and 2 water parks) and a fantastic shopping district (Disney Springs). Each one of the parks has multiple rides, attractions, and shows. More than likely, you won't be able to do everything in one trip. Picking and choosing is part of the process and knowledge will make this part easier. Being ready for your #FastPass window at 90 days is a crucial piece of this and understanding your unique travel party will help you build daily plans that will keep your trip enjoyable.
What if I am hungry
From snack carts to world class restaurants, there are literally hundreds of places to eat around the resort property. From dining plans to knowing what is available at each park, planning your meals can be tricky and moving from park to park can waste your day. Stick to your daily plan and build your meals around that. Limiting the amount of travel needed for meals will help you to maximize your park days and let you see and do more.
Plan your park days
This may sound a little redundant, but knowing where you are going will help eliminate the aimless wandering around the parks. Sometimes just knowing what lines have air conditioning can be a life saver in the summer. Having a good park plan will help you stay out of long lines and help you to enjoy your vacation.
Add a little Magic to your trip
Adding a cherry on top, or even before your trip can be a fun way to get even more excited about your vacation. From movie nights to building your own autograph book for the characters, there are many ways to add your own magical touch even before you leave. Once you get to the parks, Disney offers multiple ways to enhance your vacation through guided tours, special holiday events, and extra attraction hours.
